Project Overview
Stop the Hack was created to make cybersecurity awareness more practical, engaging, and decision-focused. Rather than simply consuming information, learners encounter realistic workplace scenarios where they evaluate risk, make choices, and respond to common cybersecurity threats. The emphasis is practical judgment and application, not content recall.
The Challenge
Cybersecurity awareness training can become passive, compliance-driven content that learners complete without meaningfully changing behavior. The design challenge was to create an experience that required learners to evaluate situations, recognize potential threats, and make decisions that reflect safer security practices.
Design Approach
Scenario-Based Learning
Learners encounter realistic cybersecurity situations rather than abstract definitions.
Decision-Focused Interaction
Learners make choices and consider the consequences of those decisions.
Immediate Feedback
Feedback reinforces the reasoning behind safer cybersecurity practices.
Practical Application
The experience emphasizes recognizable workplace behavior and everyday security decisions.
Focused Learning Experience
Concise interactions maintain engagement and reduce unnecessary cognitive load.

Experience Preview
Screens from the published experience show its course structure, learner orientation, and activity entry point. Launch the demo to explore the decision-making interactions and feedback.

01 / ACTIVITY ENTRY — Clear instructions connect cybersecurity concepts to the Level 1 challenge.

02 / LEARNER ORIENTATION — A mission-led introduction establishes the purpose and learning pathway.

03 / COURSE STRUCTURE — A concise sequence covers threats, account protection, and safer responses to suspicious messages.
Outcome
The final experience demonstrates how cybersecurity awareness can move beyond passive information delivery into interactive learning centered on judgment, application, and learner engagement. It also serves as a reusable example of how scenario-based learning can support workforce security and compliance education.
